Data Policy
1. Where the data comes from
All market data on this site originates from official, publicly available sources:
| What you see | Source | When it is published |
|---|---|---|
| Closing prices, traded volume, delivery quantity and delivery percentage | NSE daily securities and delivery files | After market close each trading day |
| Futures and options open interest, participant-wise positions | NSE derivatives and clearing-corporation files | After market close each trading day |
| Bulk and block deals, investor activity | NSE published deal disclosures | After market close each trading day |
| Corporate announcements and filings | BSE and NSE company disclosures | As filed by the company |
| Shareholding patterns and financial statements | Exchange-filed company disclosures | Quarterly, as filed |
| Mutual fund NAVs and scheme data | AMFI published NAV files | Once daily, after close |
| Quotes, index levels, global markets, commodities, currencies, crypto | Public market data sources | Periodically through the day, not tick-by-tick |
2. How current the data is
This site does not carry a real-time market feed. In practice that means:
- Closing prices, delivery, derivatives and deal data are end-of-day — they appear only once the exchange publishes the day's files, typically in the evening.
- Quotes and index levels shown during market hours refresh periodically and can lag the live market. They are indicative, not executable.
- Mutual fund NAVs are published once a day after close by the industry body, never intraday.
- Company filings appear once the company has filed them, which may be well after the event they describe.
If you need live, tick-by-tick prices to trade on, use your broker's terminal. That is what it is built for, and this site is not a substitute for it.
3. What we calculate ourselves
Several things here are not published by anyone — we compute them from the sources above. These are our own research output and carry our own assumptions:
- MYF Tracker score — a 0–100 conviction score built from trend, delivery accumulation, volume and quality measures.
- Flow Toxicity (VPIN) — an order-flow imbalance estimate computed from intraday volume buckets, following published academic method.
- Scans, screens, sector aggregates, return matrices, forensic checks and peer comparisons — all derived by us from the underlying official data.
- Backtest results — measured by us against our own stored history, using the method stated alongside each result.
Where we have tested one of these and found it does not work, we publish that too, including the horizons where the answer is no.
4. Stored history
We keep a rolling archive so the site can show trends rather than a single snapshot: roughly one year of daily delivery history, about two years of intraday-derived flow history, several years of disclosed deals, and quarterly fundamentals as filed. History deepens over time. Data older than our retention window is not kept.
5. Accuracy, gaps and corrections
We take care with this data, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, accurate or uninterrupted. In particular:
- Source files are occasionally revised, delayed or unavailable, which can leave gaps.
- Corporate actions such as splits, bonuses and mergers can distort historical comparisons.
- Derived scores depend on our assumptions and can be wrong even when the input data is right.
- Thinly traded securities produce unreliable statistics, and we say so where it matters.
The exchange's own published record is always authoritative, not ours. If a figure here conflicts with the exchange or with the company's filing, believe them. If you spot an error, please tell us at customercare@myfguide.com and we will look into it.
6. What we do not claim
- We are not a market data vendor and do not redistribute a commercial market feed.
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by any stock exchange, index provider, mutual fund, or regulator.
- Index names, company names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the instrument being described.
- Index constituent weights shown here are approximations we compute; the index provider's own official weights are the definitive ones.
7. Your use of this data
Everything here is for your personal research and education. Please do not scrape the site in bulk, republish our derived scores as your own, or resell the data. The full position is in the Terms & Conditions.
